The copy

wish they’d hired.
A four-person senior studio writing homepages, launch emails, and category-of-one manifestos for tech and lifestyle brands that refuse to sound like everyone else.
90 minutes · no charge · with a senior writer, not a salesperson
A WORKING PROPOSITION
We are not a content factory. We are a small, senior house — and that is the entire pitch.
Midnight Scribbles was founded in 2019 by Erin Vasquez, a former senior copywriter at Wieden+Kennedy, on the unfashionable belief that a brand’s voice is too important to be delegated to a junior account team. Today the studio is four senior writers and two research associates — no interns, no production line, no AI paraphrasing your positioning back at you.
Every brief we accept is handled, end to end, by a writer with an average of eleven years in the craft. That is the only way we know how to work, and it is the reason a 92% renewal rate across the past thirty-six months is not a fluke.
We cap the roster at nine active clients per quarter. The cap exists because senior attention is finite, and because a founder evaluating a copy partner deserves to know who is actually holding the pen. Booking windows for the first quarter of 2026 open on the fifteenth of November.
If your category has stopped rewarding you for sounding like everyone else in it, the next move is a conversation. The diagnostic costs ninety minutes of your time and none of your money.
SELECTED ENGAGEMENTS · 2019–2025
Four briefs we are still proud of.
A logo wall would be easier. We’d rather you read the work.

THE WORKING METHOD
Four chapters, not a feature list.
A diagnostic engagement has a beginning, a middle, and a deliberate end. You will know, at every step, which senior writer is holding the brief.
-
I
The Diagnostic
Ninety minutes, video, with a senior writer — not a salesperson. You walk us through the brand as it stands; we walk you through what is costing you attention. You leave the call with a one-page written read of your current voice, whether or not we ever work together.
-
II
The Brief
Two weeks of immersion. We read everything you have published, audit your competitor set, and produce a positioning document in plain prose — the single sentence your brand is actually trying to say, plus the four it should stop saying. The brief is signed off before a single word of copy is written.
-
III
The Draft
The senior writer assigned at diagnostic delivers the first full draft — no agency relay, no account manager rewriting in our tone. Median turnaround on a homepage: nine business days. You see the work the moment it is finished, not after a polishing cycle you did not ask for.
-
IV
The Iteration
Two rounds of structural revisions, included in the engagement fee. We work in your shared document, in real time, with comments you can answer by hand. The work ships when you would put it on the homepage yourself — and at that point, our involvement with the rollout begins.
THE FOUR PEOPLE WHO WILL HOLD YOUR BRIEF
No staffing pyramid. No “account lead”. These are the writers.
Average tenure in the craft: eleven years. Average tenure at the studio: three.

FOUNDER · SENIOR COPYWRITER
Erin Vasquez
17 years in the craft
Former senior copywriter at Wieden+Kennedy. Founded the studio in 2019. Writes homepages and category manifestos. Her work has been referenced in The Drum, Copyblogger, and Ann Handley’s Newsletter (4.2M subscribers).
-
SENIOR COPYWRITER · BRAND VOICE
Marcus Bell
12 years in the craft
Joined from a New York brand consultancy in 2020. Leads our brand-voice engagements — the long, quiet ones where a company has to agree on what it sounds like before it can agree on what it says. Particularly good with founder-led B2B brands.
-
SENIOR COPYWRITER · EMAIL & LAUNCH
Inês Carvalho
10 years in the craft
Heads the Lisbon outpost, joined in 2022. Writes the launch emails, the welcome sequences, and the long-form newsletter work. Previously led editorial at a Lisbon-based DTC house. Native Portuguese and English; working French and Spanish.
-
SENIOR COPYWRITER · TECH & SAAS
Daniel Okafor
9 years in the craft
The studio’s deepest reader of technical audiences. Writes for Series A through C SaaS — the ones whose buyers have read every homepage in the category twice. Joined from an in-house content team in 2023. Background in computational linguistics.
The studio is based at 68 Greenpoint Avenue, Suite 4B, Brooklyn, with a Lisbon outpost in Príncipe Real since 2022. The Brooklyn office keeps nocturnal hours — the best sentences, in our experience, arrive after midnight.
Q1 2026 booking window opens November 15.
