Damage Done

January 16th, 2012

So if I don’t buy yarn until Rhinebeck that might be good. Granted I doubt that will happen.  After Vogue Knitting live I have a LOT of things I want to do, spin, knit, design, it was a smorgasbord of inspiration and fun. I met podcasters, knitters, shop owners, dyers, knitters, crocheters.  And I made off with enough yarn and things that my arms were sore.  Wandering the sales floor with a giant sack and not eating much likely didn’t help. One can not live on latte’s alone.

So what did I get? Roving. Lots of it.  I will get this spinning thing. I also got a second spindle from my class and have since ordered a knitty Noddy on etsy that should arrive later this week.

That small square in the top left is my signed copy of Whimsical Little Knits 3.  And I saw the next book coming out, oh dear, so much pretty.

Now yarn:

Somewhere between 900 and 1200 yards, the colors don’t match at all and I have a third skein in the same kind of sorta purple so I am thinking a cabled something where I alternate skeins each row. This may not be a portable project.

Two skeins of Midnight in Manhattan in Madeline Tosh Pashmina. When I bought it I was thinking shawl, now I am thinking sweater, and possibly buying another skein. Sigh. At least The Yarn Company is in the city.

Lorna’s Laces  in Toxic waste.

One more skein of Midnight in Manhattan in worsted.  Which I am thinking  will be a cabled hat in the future.

I also got a set of Signature needles.  Size 4 24″ ready to go once I get to the next shawl.  Looking forward to seeing how they are to play with.

I think after this I need to update the yarn spreadsheet.
