And I’m back
On Thursday I took a break from writing, completely. At first I had planned to keep up with NaBloPoMo, but the question of the day was another one where I felt my answer would be a sentence or two. It was about secret passions, or something along those lines, and I tried to think about if I had anything I kept secret in that sense and the answer was no. When I’m passionate about something I want to share it with the world. And it added to the fact that I did not think the questions really fit me. Or the way I want to put my blog together.
I think I will try again in December or January once I have a set of questions. On Thursday I pulled out some yarn that I didn’t remember where it had come from. Luckily the band was wrapped inside the yarn. It was a Madeline Tosh Merino Light, the Mare colorway. And with that cast on Shawl #12 in 2011, what can I say I’m an overachiever.
The pattern is Taj-mahal by Kitman Figueora. At some point I will have to count how many of her shawls I’ve made, it might be 5 or 6. And I already want to make two more of her designs; Cobble and Mystere.
And when I say took a break I mean completely. I didn’t open my Nano novel again until Sunday at a write in. But the magic that is a write -in and the fact that I had thought about my characters and where they were going meant that I was able to pound out over 9,000 words yesterday. The cupcakes for victory did not hurt.
