Today is my birthday woo! I did most of my celebrating over the weekend so I’ll be heading off to work today. To celebrate everything in my etsy store now has free shipping now through Saturday 9/13. So go check it out.
I leave you with a picture of the birthday cake a lovely friend made me.
There is even a tiny bit left!
So today we had another day of nice weather, and I decided to head over to Prospect Park and take pictures for a lot of the writing I’m working on and just as general inspiration. I had a leaning towards, paths, openings, tunnels, and stumps and fallen trees, looking it as the remnants of a battle field, and paths where every turn there is a surprise. Also it was a great time to test out my Nikon Coolpix!
One of my favorite images is this one which leads my mind to a post apocalyptic future where humans are gone and nature has come back to take things over.
An opening between some fallen logs.
This Cloud so looks like someone’s cloaking device is malfunctioning just a smidge right there.
Just one of the many paths and ways that i took
One of the many arches in the park.
And Grand Army Plaza
Back to knitting in the next post I swear.
Days without a Yarn purchase in 2010: 104.
So I’ve organized the stash more or less. There are a few balls here and there without a home that are “WIPs” If I had cast on it might be more believable. But here are some shots of my stash in its neat glory. Can we tell red is one of my favorite colors?
I really like red, though I have to find a project for the red/black cascade. Or should I say a sweater. I have also organized my tools notions and the like.
Neat and organized.
I’m also planning to break my no yarn buying rule. I made it a few weeks I think but The Point is closing! 30% off everything. I won’t go too crazy….no more than $60? I mean I spent about that much at Knit NY’s moving sale and it was 20% off and their prices were a bit high to begin with.
This is the third closing I’ve been to in way too little time.
Yarn Connection, Knit NY, and now the Point. Though I did miss the Stitches East closing. And I really liked the point, baked goods, awesome people and yarn what’s not to love.
A home for my knitting and other hand crafts with a Fandom twist. Because this was only the beginning.
